Taiwanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Kymco has unveiled the 2022 edition of its maxi sport scooter, the KRV 180i, in its home country. The new model year gets slight changes in its performance and feature list.
The most notable update is in its engine performance figures which are now slightly higher at 16.9bhp and 15.68Nm. Pumping it all out is a 175cc, four-valve, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a CVT transmission system and sends power to the rear wheel via a belt. As for the features, newly introduced bits include a full-colour TFT display accompanied by Bluetooth connectivity. Meanwhile, Kymco has retained the full-LED lighting system, a USB charging port, and a keyless start system.
Kymco has kept the design untouched, which is understandable; it looks truly radical with its angry fascia comprising a sharply contoured front apron housing a wide, split-type headlamp unit. At the rear, the upswept tail section gets a stepped single-piece seat and two-piece grab rail. The KRV 180i is available in three colour options - black, blue, and grey.
The Kymco KRV 180i is unlikely to come to India in the near future. However, the Indian market isn’t deprived of sporty and exciting maxi-scooters. Take the Yamaha Aerox 155 for instance.
