Honor has launched a new mid-range smartphone named Honor X8 5G. It is a 5G capable smartphone and is a 5G variant of the Honor X8 that debuted earlier this year. The phone does have a bunch of things different from the 4G variant instead of just being a difference in cellular connectivity.
The Honor X8 5G sports a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) TFT LCD display with a dotted notch. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ processor with Adreno 619 GPU. The phone is available in a single configuration of 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage along with microSD card support.
The phone has a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The other two cameras include a depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There is an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture for video calls and selfies.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W SuperCharge fast charging. The phone will ship with Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11. The phone will be available in Ocean Blue and Midnight Black color options. Its pricing and availability details are currently unknown.
