DATA IMAGE U.S.A. now sells round TFT LCD color displays in two sizes. They are 3 in. and 4.2 in. in diameter. Applications are endless and limited only by imagination. They can be used as digital avionics indicators, power meters, speedometers, rpm gauges, temperature indicators, home thermostats, strain gauges, volt/current meters, and simple clocks. The displays can include a single gauge or display multiple parameters.
Formats for the displays are 432*432 for the 3 in. and 720*720 for the 4.2 in. version. Both have a brightness of 1,000 nits and wide viewing angles thanks to IPS glass technology. Both versions also have wide temperature ratings. They’re available with or without capacitive touch panels for the user interface. These units are true round displays without the “flat tire” look that earlier versions of round displays exhibited.
