The upcoming Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle, which is yet to be christened, made a surprising appearance just days after the launch of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The newest photographs of this upcoming, Bajaj-Triumph co-developed product gave a glimpse at a near production-ready motorcycle. Here we tell you everything that we know about this upcoming motorcycle.
The newest spy images confirm that this upcoming Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle will use a liquid-cooled setup and thus we expect to see healthy power output numbers. The details about the engine displacement aren’t available yet either but we may see this motorcycle arrive in the single-cylinder, 250-350cc segment. An interesting bit is the drivechain placement. As seen in the images, the drivechain sits on the right side of the motorcycle – a setup that we have seen on Triumph Motorcycles’ modern-retro products.
The new images also reveal all the styling details, and this upcoming Bajaj-Triumph product will pack a retro design. The styling elements will comprise a round headlight, round shape for the turn indicators, a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank with a chrome filler cap, a flat single-piece saddle, and a side-slung exhaust. Previous spy images showed a KTM-style colour TFT-display on the motorcycle. The latest pictures, however, show a completely different unit that resembles the instrument cluster on Triumph Motorcycles’ modern classic products. The motorcycle in the latest images is the road-biased version. The two companies would also offer a scrambler-style product that will pack similar underpinnings but different dimensions for the wheels and dual-purpose tyres.
The road-biased version will use 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends while the Scrambler-style product will come with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel combination. The hardware will comprise upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks. The braking setup will include single discs on both wheels and we expect to see ByBre sourced callipers on the motorcycles.
The feature list will comprise full-LED lighting as standard while the instrument cluster may pack a fully-digital setup. We may also see Bluetooth connectivity although the setup could be available as an optional extra. The safety net should include dual-channel ABS and a slipper/assist clutch.
Expected India launch and price
The motorcycle appears to be near production ready and we should see it on our shores in the first half of 2023. We also expect to see an aggressive price tag and the motorcycles should arrive around the Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
