The Volkswagen Virtus is based on the MQB-AO-IN platform and comes in six color options (Candy White, Reflex Silver, Rising Blue Metallic, Cherry Red, Curcuma Yellow, Carbon Steel Grey). The upcoming car is expected to be priced around Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will compete against the likes of Honda City, Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, and Skoda Slavia. As you can see in the video above, the Volkswagen Virtus Comfortline variant features a premium look, thanks to a sleek and modern design language. It comes with standard LED headlamps with LED DRLs and LED turn indicators. However, unlike the top-end variants, it does not feature front fog lamps or chrome detailing on the front bumper. Additionally, the entry-level model comes with 16-inch steel wheels. On the back, the company has added split arrowhead design LED tail lamps. You also get a rear parking camera, reverse parking sensors, a rear windshield defogger, and a roof antenna.

On the inside, the new car is pretty well equipped with essential convenience features. It sports a flat-bottom steering wheel with steering-mounted audio controls on both sides. You also get a touchscreen system with android auto and apple car play. There is also a monochrome tft display with a digital speedometer. On the right side, you will get headlamp control on the right side of the steering wheel. While the dashboard is just plain but it has a good texture. The armrests get a soft leather padding. The overall rear-seat space is quite standard and large. However, it lacks AC vents and a center armrest.

Additional features include a 12-volt charging, a USB port, day-night adjustable IRMM, LED cabin lamp, power windows, and electronically adjustable ORVMs. The Volkswagen Virtus Base model also comes with safety features like dual airbags, ESP with traction control, ABS with EBD, and remote sensor locking. Customers will also get a 521-liter luggage capacity and flat-folding rear seats. Overall, the entry-level variant offers more than expected features. It is a better all-rounded option than the likes of Honda City V and Skoda Slavia Active. The VW Virtus Comfortline features the same 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine that powers the Slavia. It produces 115 hp and 178 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine can be bought with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
