After much wait, Ferrari has finally unveiled the Purosangue SUV. However, Ferrari doesn’t like calling it an SUV and the brand insists that it is a ‘four-door four-seat’ model. The Purosangue joins the likes of the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga. We expect the Purosangue to go on sale in India sometime next year.

The design is unlike any other ever seen on an SUV; after all, what else can one expect from the iconic Italian carmaker?  The front fascia is heavily inspired by other Ferraris to give it that ‘family look’. The headlights seem to be a mix of what we’ve seen on the Roma and the SF90 Stradale. There’s a sharp line on the upper half of the front bumper that separates the hood and the bumper. The headlights are placed lower down where they are housed in the massive air dam. It gets a clamshell bonnet that gets a lot of character lines on it. The side features electric scissor doors for the rear which will definitely make it stand apart from other SUVs.

The rear is quite upright and it gets a small glass area thanks to the busy design. The LED taillights are divided into two parts on each side which is again reminiscent of the recent Ferraris. It also seems to get a light bar that connects the taillamps. The lower half of the bumper features a diffusor with quad tailpipes. The interiors are again very unique and unlike any SUV or Ferrari, you’ve seen before. It gets a multi-layered dashboard with loads of leather thrown in. The familiar steering wheel and digital instrument cluster have been borrowed from its siblings.

The passenger side dashboard gets a large touchscreen for all multimedia and vehicle functions. This clearly indicates it is a driver-focussed SUV. The rear gets two individual seats which get a bunch of adjustment options. It also gets a 373-liter boot space. The Purosange is powered by a front-mid mounted 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine that produces 725hp at 7,750rpm and 716Nm at 6,250rpm. The engine produces 80% of torque at only 2,100 rpm. It gets an 8-speed DCT which sends power to all four wheels.

It can do 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10.6 seconds, and reach a top speed of more than 310km/h. The Purosangue weighs in at 2033kgs. Ferrari has worked a lot on making it a great handler too and the Purosangue gets its active suspension from other Ferraris in the stable.
