Ola S1 rival, Komaki electric scooter touts fire-proof battery | Tech News

Komaki has announced plans to launch its Venice Eco electric scooter. To be priced at ₹ 79,999 (ex-showroom) in Delhi, the e-scooter will compete with the popular Ola S1 scooter. The Komaki electric scooter will come with several exciting features including the use of third-generation TFT screen with navigation, real-time lithium battery analyzer and notably fire-resistant Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LiPO4) battery kit and more. The company has claimed that the new Venice Eco is safer to use due to its fire-proof battery along with advanced BMS/Multiple thermal sensors/App-based connectivity with 2000+ cycles. Significantly, its rival Ola S1 was in the news recently for several alleged battery-related fires.

The Komaki Venice Eco scooter will be available in seven different colour options including white and blue shades. The scooter will be available for sale around the festive season this year. Further it's tab like 3rd-Gen TFT display is claimed to offer better navigation experience. It will also come with an integrated music player.

Talking about the same, Gunjan Malhotra, Director, Komaki Electric Division said, “Komaki has earned its repute in the green and clean mobility domain by manufacturing products which are of high quality, high performance, excellent strength, rigid design, low maintenance, and long life. I am optimistic that VENICE ECO will further bolster our customers' trust in the brand Komaki and soon it will become synonymous with electric vehicles. ”

While the company has unveiled the details of the features, electric motor range and output specifications are yet to be revealed. However, it would join the line of 11 low-speed and six high-speed electric two wheelers from the brand.
